companionship on life's sacred journey

Affinity Groups

Small Affinity Groups are one way to strengthen our community as the congregation grows in size. We help people to connect and build a caring and compassionate community by offering smaller, less formal structures for getting to know one another.

Please check the calendar at the News & Events tab above for details of each group’s meetings.

If you have an idea or interest not represented here, please speak with any member of the Executive Board.

Eastern Philosophies

A new coordinators is needed. When this group is meeting, they hold monthly informal discussions of wide-ranging philosophical thoughts and spiritual practices.

Third Tuesday Table Talk

A new coordinator is needed. Speak with any member of the Executive Board to volunteer. Once a month on a Tuesday or another day the coordinator chooses, join others for food, conversation, and fun at Bob Evans Restaurant in Dunkirk or another location.

Vegetarian Dining Group

This group gathers for weekly vegetarian dinners. The dining group offers a way of nourishing body and soul in a relaxed, communal setting where friendships can grow.

Members have experimented with different kinds of meals, sometimes prepared cooperatively or around a theme. Check the online calendar for details on upcoming dinners.

Women of Spirit

Women of Spirit offers a safe, intimate environment in which women high school age and older can explore their spirituality and connect with, and nurture, each other. Meetings are held one Friday evening each month, with reservations required by the Wednesday morning before the meeting. If no reservations are received by Wednesday morning, the Friday meeting is canceled.
